Kāyena saṃvutā dhīrā, atho vācāya saṃvutā; manasā saṃvutā dhīrā te ve suparisaṃvutā.
English Translation
The wise are restrained in body, restrained also in speech, restrained in mind — truly, they are restrained in every way.

Editorial Note
The closing verse of the Kodha Vagga (Anger), alongside verse 223 already in this sample — where 223 gives paired instructions for specific difficulties, this verse closes the chapter with a general statement of threefold restraint.
